why is it that my friends 2500hd sets so much higher than my 3500, mine sets a lot lower in the front than his, could i raise the torsion bars on my 3500 and would i be able to tell any difference to make it worth the trouble. what have you guys did to improve the ride height, that is with out a lift or wheels. im thinking about bigger tires to but im not sure how much bigger i can go. i love my truck but im almost wishing id of went with a 2500, i mean my truck doesnt even set any higher than my old '94, i had it in the shop the other day and i rolled under it on a creeper and i couldnt even get my head under the frame without going to the back tires. any help would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, I had to build my own ramps so I could get under there with my creeper.

Why don't you get some green key's they will give you 1.5-2" of lift then fine tune with the torsion bars.

thats exactly what i wished my truck looked like, is that what you did the green keys and then torsion bars? and if you dont mind me asking, how much would a wheel and tire combo like that cost me

I gained 1-1.5 inch by raising the torsion bars and you can get 235/85/r16 on your stock rims, that is what I did. In my opinion it looks much better than stock.

I run 255's on mine and never had to do anything. I turned the bars a little to level it out

Chevy 9645,
I added the Cognito Motorsports HD leveling kit for my K3500. It raised the truck nearly 2.5 " and then I added P235/85 Revo tires and gained another 1". See my sig link below for some pictures. I also added the Dual shock kit at the same time. I am not against cranking T-Bars, However I can speak from hands on experience that there is a SIGNIFICANT ride quality difference in a HD leveling kit and the T Bar cranking process. My ride quality suffered when I cranked the T Bars, when I added the HD leveling kit My ride quality was incredibly better.
Just my 02 cents worth

My 05 came with a 2" lift from the factory. I found this out when I went to the parts department and was checking on a bug deflector.

I had them do the install as I was going to be down in Bakersfield on business so I planned it out. I watched the install and it was a very straight forward deal. Took them about 3 hours including the Dual Shock kit. I know I could have done it in about 6 hours and most of that time would have been spent getting the truck up in the air...They had a hoist...
I am extremely happy with the set up
