I Had 1/8 Tank Stopped At Casey's Gas Station Put 11gal Diesel. Drove 30 Miles Home. Next Night Started Back To Town Made It Half Way.

The Engine Light Came On And Truck Lost Power And Was Making Lots Of Detination On The Top End. I Got Towed To Town I Unpluged My Edge Box No Change. I Checked My Turbo And Air Cleaner Fine. I Cracked The Bleeder On The Fuel Filter Gave It A Pump Smelt Like Gas I Had A Buddy Smell Thought The Same Thing.. I Took Filter Off Had Blue Color Smelled Like Gas. Sucked The Tank Dry First 5 Gal Bucket Was Clear Next Two 5gal Buckets Were Dark And Blue. Put A New Fuel Filert Half Atf And Diesel. Put 10 Gal Fresh Diesel From Different Staion. And 1qt Atf. Started Up Same Deal Checked Code Showed P2149 And P0202. Let I Idle For 20 Min Cleared The Codes 3 Time And Finaly Started To Fun Fine.

yes, I would go after Caseys Gas Station. They obviously had a mix on a fuel delivery, sounds like gas was dropped in the diesel tank. File a complaint, if your engine blows up in the near future, they should go good for the repair. Keep a sample of the fuel you drained from your tank.

^^ sounds like good advice to me. Personally I'd change the fuel filter again and top up with diesel again to dilute whatever gas you may have left in there. Wait a while to go WOT.

X2. Top it off with diesel fuel, flush out what you can and run it. A buddy of mine did this with his Powerstroke after a friend filled it full of gas for him. He drove it for several days with it running like crap until he realized what had happened. He just filled it with fuel and ran it and never had any issues.

Keeping a sample won't do you any good, as they'll just claim that you recently mixed it. I would have a lawyer or someone else with you when you go back, confront Casey's, and pump fuel from the tainted tanks. Try to send a sample to a lab that will verify the contents (perhaps an oil analysis lab can verify the results).
