For guys running stock Ally's or just transgo jr, but also running a 90-100 horse tune, are we limited by the trans limiting tables? Here's a copy of my stock ally. Is this telling me my torque won't exceed these limits no matter the tune?

edit:...won't exceed these torque values despite the ecm tune we are running?
Thanks,

There is not a "torque sensor" to be found on your truck :D
all kidding aside , the tables do not affect "max power" , they do affect shifting quality and defuel along with the corisponding tables in the ECM . I dont advise you play with them unless you have alot of $$ laying around or you know what your doing.

X2 messing with those tables can break some expensive parts in the Ally

I have modded mine greatly, with no affect. There was a guy hear and his brother that were working on an excel calculator to adjust the de-fuel and was unsuccessful in the process. But they did conclude that that table doesn't even do anything...
does anyone have any experience at all with this table???? what have the outcomes been and what did you do???

there is a very good discussion on this topic, but it's on a competitors site. It went into great detail into this, and the #1 thing I learned from it was "DO NOT SCREW WITH THESE SETTINGS IN THE TCM!!". It' your truck and money, but the guys that tune trucks for living highly reccomend NOT touching these settings in the TCM. The ECM is the key to changing the shifts as it controls the engine. The tables in the TCM are used for it to make it's calculations, and there are ALOT of tables we can't see in the TCM that control it. Like Trent said though, there is no torque sensor for the engine or transmission. It just simply makes a calculated guess based off of inputs and outputs.

In my amatuer opinion, you don't need to mod that table for a 90-100 HP tune...I have about 40,000 miles on my built 6 speed trans with that table heavily modified...Hopefully my trans guy doesn't read this;)

The one thing you have to remember about changing any TQ tables in any of your tunes... If you increase the pulsewidth for a cetian MM3 you are also indirectly changing the amount of fuel the truck will inject while it is in TQ limiting. Therefore if you want to run a big tune but keep the same defueling you will actually need to increase the torque reduction tables to compensate for the added fuel in the main injection pulse table. All these tables refer back to that one main pulse injection table.
