Here’s what I did to get the Firestone air shocks to work on my lifted truck. I cut the mounting ring off the shock, welded 1 ¼ square tubing to the shock end. I capped the end of the square tubing and then welded the ring to it. To get the spacer length, while the truck was off the ground with the suspension hanging and the top of the shock mounted I measured how much longer it needed to be to reach the lower mount. Only put about 70 miles on them so far, no problems yet. It does handle a lot better.
