Why can't a product like the Edge Attitude be programmed to read/clear codes and reprogram the ecm for tire size, etc? Seems to me that whoever could create a multi-purpose box that combined the features of a plug in harness box and a programmer would have the market cornered. Is there something more to this that I'm missing....?

Some things must be programmed to change them.
That is one reason stacking is popular. Run a 0HP or low HP ECM tune, then run the Edge for "On-the-fly" changes.
The only "on-the-fly" ECM program is the LB7 TTS Extreme.

My point is why can't the Attitude, or something like it, become a programmer as well as a monitor? Think of this....you buy the Juice/Attitude combo and could use the Attitude to read/clear codes and change tire size/gear ratio as well as use it for all its current functions. This would make it so you wouldn't have to buy a Predator or something to do the programming.

IIRC, electronically you cannot reflash the PCM from the bale connectors the Edge hooks into.

I see your point there, but why can't they make a port on the Attitude that you could connect a cable to the OBDII port for programming and reading/clearing codes? It wouldn't need to be attached all the time, only when diagnosing or reprogramming. All you would be doing is combining the Predator's diagnostic tools with the Attitude's monitoring. Seems with the computing technology that is out there, it could be done fairly easily. I think that Bank's PDA thing would be the best for this though do to added computing power.

I thought that the sniper (snipertuning.com) could, but I was wrong as usual.
