I just clickd over 80,000 mi. on my 02 and for the past couple of months, when the engine is not warmed up, the truck sitting and a stop light will surge and sound like i have a big loapy cam. Could this b the fuel pressure reg goin out, or is it a different problem. I just had new injectors put in 5,000 mi. ago. Thanks

It could be FPR, I have heard people that have run some 2 cycle through it and it clears them up for a bit- may be a cheap alternative for you to see if it helps!!!!

If i put my 125hp tune in, my truck surges. drop the tune to a 90hp and it goes away. Might want to play around with your tunes.

did you think your tunes might make it do that?

Yes. As soon as i lower it. the surge goes away. there was a thread about it and others had the same problem with the quadzilla. Not sure if others tunes/chips do this as well. Or what factors will cause the surging. Fuel pressure and injectors are fine in my trcuk. I'll see if I can find it.

thats what i mean. the programs will make it do that. if it does it on a stock tune, its worn out. they still work, i just dont think on a high performance level though. i used to have a 215 quad box, they made it do it just as bad.

Yeah mine does it the same on 90 or 135. Just when its cold though.

i run 150+ tunes on my truck, no surging. could be the tune you have. it may be commanding to much rail pressure at idle. blue02duramax you may need a lift pump to keep the fuel goin to the cp3. or your cp3 could be getting week. idk.. just throwing ideas out, correct me if im wrong.

at idle there really isnt any demand. fpr is wore out
