A question on something that I have wanted to investigate for a long time. On my 02 crew cab, I have my 4 window switches on the driver door, and the drivers' door is the only one that is "auto" down.

My question is the "auto" feature something that is integral to the switch, or are there additional relays related to that one switch. My end goal would be to add an auto down window to the front passenger side window.

Has anyone tried this? Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

My guess would be you would have to change out the whole entire switch to the newer ones and then prolly also the trim piece it resides in. Not sure...wait for Mccall to look in his black book :D

My 03" has auto down for both sides. If that helps. Maybe give my vin to the dealer and get the parts u need

Nothing better than dredging up a 5 month old thread. BTW, the '03 shares NOTHING electrical in the power window department with the OP's earlier truck. Even the computers and operating system are different.

Well, it was a nice thought. Get some of the goodies of the newer trucks on my truck that is paid for. Just have to keep the finger on the button a little longer. Thanks
