I will post the link, I am just curious what I should look out for. It needs a lil' TLC, but nothing major that I can see. Can I tell which engine it has by the vin?

Any info is much appreciated!!

8th digit in the VIN number will be a "D" if its an LBZ, and a "3" if its an LLY, so looks like that ones an LBZ. Thats a sweet looking truck by the way, good luck.

actually LLY will be a "2" not a three for the 8th digit....

Well I think the 04-05 LLY has a 2 in the VIN, but the 06 LLY has a 3. Just get an LBZ makes it easier:D.

Yeah no the 06' LLY is still gonna be a vin 2.... to date there is no vin 3.... Just 1(LB7),2(LLY),D(LBZ),and 6(LMM).

Anyhow.... the the truck you linked to is a LBZ engine.... If you like I can run a VIS for you and get you a record of work done under warrenty.. PM me if you like.

Thanks for all the info guys!!

I threw a low ball offer at them and they didn't take it, the lowest they will go is $22,500. I don't know if that is a super deal..... The truck needs some TLC, the front tires rub when making a turn, when not on level ground (I think the torsion bars can be cranked a good bit to fix this, I looked at them and they have a lot of room left to crank). The transmission line from the radiator is wet (will need replacing), they receiver hitch was taken, had DVD players in the headrests and sun visors, they were taken leaving big holes. The stero doesn't work. Skid plate is loose. Has a few small scratches and only one minor quarter size dent. And oh yeah it has 127,XXX miles.

All these issues are relatively minor and can be easily fixed, but I am just curious if I should look for one with less mileage and less little issues.

i just paid 21800 for my 2006 LBZ, completely stock with 123000 miles on it...

with all the stuff they took out, DVD screens and whatnot, I would ask for some new ones or something.

I don't think the mileage is a problem personally, if it was well-maintained. It would kind of bother me that there is holes in the back of the headrests though. To find a LBZ in the low 20s is pretty rare I think, even if it does need a little TLC. Lots of money in that lift/tire combo too. How's the tread on the tires?

I would have the headrests re-done the first day, if I bought it, I was even considering buying screens. The tread on the tires would be good, but it has had major rubbing issues in the front, so the outer edges have marks from the bumper. I can't believe the torsion bars haven't be cranked up, they have a lot left to go up.

Got it for 22,500. They replaced leaking tranny lines, installed a new receiver hitch, fixed skid plate. I took it for an alignment and it needed an idler arm and stuff, took it back to the dealer and they are replacing everything that is worn in the front end and doing an alignment for me. I debadged it, put big mirrors, adjusted the torsion bars (minimal tire rub now), installed a new stero, and just touched up this and that. It cleaned up real nice. The only thing that I need to replace now is the steering shaft (making the good ol' clunk). I got a PPE standard programmer yesterday, ordered exhaust, downpipe and EGR blocker lasnight, it is coming together nice.

Here's a low quality cell pic:

wow. I'm impressed by the dealer. and your quickness.
is the torsion bar adjustment like a "leveling kit"? sorry for the newb question- I should probably research that one here. Nice rig. good job.
I've heard that Nov.-Dec. are the "black" months for dealerships and you'll get the best deal from them this time of year.

Thanks man!! Mine is lifted 6 inches, and it needed to be raised in the front. You simply just turn the bolts to raise your torsion keys. You must get an alignment afterwards. You can crank the factory bars, but you need to do a few other supporting items. Yes, dealerships are hit hard during the holiday season. These people have been very good to deal with.

Thanks!!

This truck should be just like my 04 Z71 on the steering. All you need to do is un-bolt the steering shaft under the hood and pump the steering arm shaft in and out a few times to re-distribute the grease and the clunking will go away.
