i am thinking of getting a nitrous filling station for my store front, as this would help slow summer sales. if anyone has any ideas where to get started with this, let me know!

thanks, Steve

Do you have alot of rice rockets out there? I don't know that's why I'm asking. I'm not furtunate enough to run it yet, so I don't know what to say. I guess alittle advertisment wouldn't hurt. just my $.02 on it

Been thinking about the same thing here but out of my garage.

I have two systems (1 as a backup now)\. I have the mother bottles and can get a killer deal on the mother bottle fills, but have to drive to Huntington Beach for it.

Had it set up in my enclosed when we used to head to the track with the real racecar.

Just too lazy to get it and not the best person to be selling. A dealer who uses his own stash is not the best person to be selling. I'd end up going through more than I would sell...

NOS makes a filling station that you can buy, then you just have to buy the main filling bottles from a local gas dealer. Or you could just do the old fashioned gravity feed but that seems to take a little while. I would think if you were selling it out of your shop it would be a good idea to invest in the NOS filling station, I think they are around $450 or something close.

If you find a really good deal on your main filling bottles it would more than likely pay for itself pretty quick depending on what kind of race crowd you have in your area.

Just my .02, hope it helps

If a guy had room in the trailer, a mobile filling station could make a killing at a racetrack!:ro)

we have alot of motor heads in our area, and they do use up the nos! i had an offer for a used filling station, and 4 mother bottles for $1K. no scales though. i did find digital scales for about $250 and they are the good ones.

i ran out of time today to call about the purchase of mother tanks, or how much $$ to get them filled, and of course, if i could have a tank filled that i did not buy from a supplier.

i did check around an the local high priced speed shop was $4.50 per LB to get filled (30 minutes away is the closest) and i did call the big name brand store (Jegs) and they are $4.00 per LB, and they are an hour away.

i did the research, and NO ONE in our county sells NOS to the public. if i could get a good deal on buying NOS for the mother tanks, i think i will take on the new business end here!!

thanks for the input fellas.

If you're buying it in bulk I'd imagine the price would be alot cheaper.
If you decide to do it, good luck with it.

im gonna call around today and see what it takes to fill the mother tanks.

Dmax Tim.....get in line! LOL alot of folks are wanting to "try it out". i dont have anything (yet) that runs nitrous, so i will not be spending my profits on my own rides. this is why i would not have a hobby store, i would just build all my profits!

look at my user name and put a .com behind it, the moderators might get upset if i just tell you about my parts store in here. there kinda funny about the simple stuff (take no offence moderators)
