I have a 2002 GMC Sierra that was recently in a accident. I guess I never paid much attention but I assumed the steering wheel locked when the key was removed. I was told the year I have the wheel does not have locking steering.
When truck was in accident the front wheels basically where wrenched right which kept the truck from being pushed down the road. So is it possible there was a locking mechanism for that year (I've had it since it was new). I just want to lay this one question to rest once and for all.
