I have almost all my parts together to put my 24 valve cummins in my 94 GMC 3500. One question I have though is; there is no way to fit the intercooler between my radiator and my grill so I was thinking about getting a intercooler that would fit where the aluminum plate under the radiator sits. I found an intercooler that is 32x13x3 with 3" inlet/outlet. My question is: is it possible to get to small of an intercooler? As in not flow enough, would this one be to small? I hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance.

The intercooler will fit out in fron when doing a CUMMINS swap into a GM.

What are the size dimensions of the dodge intercooler, cause I only have about 2 inches of space between the radiator and the AC condenser. Then I have 2 more coolers out in front of the AC condenser then the grill.

Also check out these pictures, it has a couple helpful shots, and a good description :)

Edit: Copy above website into another window, just take out the spaces. I had to do that so it wouldn't be censored.

You will only need one of those coolers out in front after your swap for the transmission as the engine oil cooler will no longer be needed. And you can relocate the trans cooler to underneath with a fan on it and be just as good or better. Then you can modify the bracket that holds the hood hinge and move your condenser out another inch or 2 and get all the room you would need to put in the intercooler. The DODGE intercooler will be the better option as it is shorter than a DMAX cooler and only a little wider than the radiator. You can also run a 7.3L intercooler and have 2 inches trimmed off of the top and fit it in there.

What do you guys think about water to air intercoolers? More specifically one like this:http://www.frozenboost.com/product_info.php?cPath=216&products_id=1006&osCsid=dc86c6f0ffee4c905280670598a03b56

the air to water seems to be able to fit in smaller area's, you can modify storage tank to apply ice to reduce temp more than available ambient conditions would allow. might be able to find parts cheap, seems to be lot of kits to intercool mustangs. member used mustang kit on 6.5 and put 2(split) liquid coolers in bumper in the cutout holes to protect them.

I would run an aftercooler with water/methanol before hacking up the radiator support.
