my truck is a stock 4x4 with 70k and i would like some suggestions on upgrades and brands. i am interested in exhaust, intake and a programmer. if anyone has any other mods please post. i would really like to get into the low 13s to smoke my brotherinlaws 70 firebird, thanks adam

if you are on stock shocks.... consider bilsteins or other. for me... it was night and day replacing 90k miles on stock shocks.

low 13's is fast. prob a bit more than a standard chip, intake, exhaust.

as far as the performance upgrades... i wanted <13.3 to beat a certain m3. check out this post: http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32553

i have not thrown down for the tranny yet, but i think that's what it's going to take. good luck, keep us posted.

Not that I have one, but all the mod crazy guys say get a good tranny. Do it once GOOD, or you'll end up doing it twice $$$. I have had fun with a bunch of maintenance upgrades. Second oil & fuel flter. A coolant filter, shocks those kinds of things. Oh yeah you could also "swis s cheese" (except spell it right you know) your airbox easily. Drill a bunch 3/4" holes or so all over your box. You could even sawzall some off. Search for "swis s cheese" but don't put a space between the s.

You will need a good tranny if you want to do that more than a couple times.. low 13 will be much easier with a built tranny, plus it will be cheaper if you start there...
