Baffled here. When its below 30 deg on the first start of the morning my dmax will start and run out of fuel (runs for a sec or 2). If I prime it (10 or so pumps) it will fire right up and continue to run. I have 130k on it and have never had problems untill 3 weeks ago. Its done it 3 times. I replaced the FF just to rule it out. Not sure where to go. I think a lift pump will fix it, but I also feel its a band aid to the real problem. I talked to a tech at gm dealer and he says fuel filter assembly. Not sure I want to spend $600 for a part and it not be the fix....why would it only do it when below 30? Not sure I buy that. Anyone had a similar issue? TIA...

Interesting timing on your post. I have a '06 2500.

The last two mornings after starting my truck would idle rough for about a minute and then everything was fine.

This morning and again after work it started for a second and then died. It would not refire. I had to prime it and then it would start and ran fine for the 40 mile commmute to and from work.

One difference is that it was only ~50 deg this morning and ~75 this afternoon. Any help would be appreciated.
