Iam looking to find out about injector sleeves. Dose anyone have photos? Can they be done with out pulling the heads?
The truck that I am playing with is an 02 that has bubbles in the coolant tank as soon as you start it. Yes the injector were just done. Is this something that might be covered, do the heads have to come off?

Injector sleeves are serviced without removing heads. To remove them you need a special tool. You need to clean the head surface very well where the taper of the sleeve makes contact and apply loctite for sealing.
IF you are bubbling right after the injector job then I think you are on the right track.

a dealer tech that is a family friend. Its been at least 2 months. But it has had a growing thirst for coolant. I know the guy and he is good at what he dose. but everyone is human.

What you will find....I think....is that if the sleeve was letting in coolant....then that particular injector tip is going to be really badly coked up. You may be looking at replacing the injector itself. Other than that I do not think you did any damage to the motor.
Good luck.

dont mean to hijack your thread, but i just replaced my injectors, luckily all the cups stayed in none of them popped out, but if i start to notice bubbling in the coolant tank or burning coolant again i should assume that its probably the cups?

not trying to get your thread off subject but when changing the injectors if the cups stay in should you leave them be (other than cleaning them out) is there something you can do to prevent this from happening
