Heres the ad, '83 GMC jimmy 4x4 6.3L diesel with bad motor $325. Ok I didnt think there was a 6.3 but he says thats what it is. I still say it a 6.2 But he ran it with no oil so its junk and I was wondering how to get it going. Just new rings or is it alot more than that. Also is this a good deal or not? He says a little rust and doesnt know the milage.

Run one out of oil and you will destroy the crank and possibly launch a rod out the side of the block. Plan on needing an engine. There are quite a few low milage military engines starting to surface for around 1,000.00.:cool2:
