Don't ask me why my Edge w/ Attitude has waited all this time to start giving me troubles but it is. Yesterday morning I went to leave and my truck wouldn't start, so I unplugged the edge just to see if it was the problem. Started right away as soon as I unplugged it but the SES light was on; but it went away after 5-10 on/off cycles. As soon as it went off yesterday afternoon I plugged the edge back in and it worked flawlessly for the rest of the day. Tryed to start it again this morning and the same thing, wouldn't start till I unplugged the juice. Anyone know why after over a year its starting to give me problems?

If you could get the codes scanned for when the SES light was on that may be a clue. The codes should still be there even after the light went off. I'm thinking you have a connection problem with the wiring harness.

I don't have any way to get the codes :( I wish I did. I just thought it was really strange it happened out of the blue, two days in a row, even after I unplugged and plugged it back in. I would think if it was the connections I would have cured it when I was doing all the connecting and unconnecting. I also double checked the pins in the connectors to make sure they were not bend or broken. eh...

Do you have any Auto Zone auto parts stores in your area? Many have scanners and will read the codes at no charge. Other parts store may do the same.

If you have OnStar you can punch the little blue button and they can download it and tell you what is going on. Just a shot.

Had the same problem last year with my 4.61 Edge. Replaced with same. No issue since. Just call the edge guys tomorrow. They should be able to help you.

Maybe the harness' weren't seated properly. I had a similar situation with the banks. All that was necessary to remedy the situation was disconnect and reconnect the harness'. Hope this helps you.

I had the same thing happen to me. It ran fine for about a year and then had no starts. Just call Edge and they will send you a new one.

Could be the Edge "no-start" issue. Try this next time: Just cycle the ignition switch to off and make sure you open the driver's side door. This cuts power completely to the Edge Box and Attitude. Wait 10 seconds or so then start the vehicle. If the previous two sentences are sufficient to get the truck going again, then you have been "bit" by the Edge no-start product flaw. Call them up and they will send you a new unit with upgraded firmware plus a hardware mod to the Juice box. If the previous was your problem, then the SES light is related to the Edge not regenerating the camshaft timing pulses and tripping the ECM into a no-start condition. The previous described problem was prevalent on 25% or so of the Edge boxes about a year ago.

If you have version 4.61 send it back for the 4.81 version. They should trade it for you no problems. I had the same thing with the 4.61 went from hard start to no start and when it would truck ran funny like in limp mode. Received version 4.81 and no issues for over 5 months..Jim

Back when I had my juice it pushed one of the pins out of place and threw a code. Truck still ran. . .if it pushed the wrong pin out of place possible no start?

If you see that one pin is shorter than the rest just take a needle nose and gently pull it back into place while gently pushing on the wire end.
