: I57 northbound in southern IL did you get a ticket?
lotsofmiles 10-29-2009, 10:37 AM lifted white dmax with LA plates. i was doing 70 in a 65 and you passed me. until you came over the next hill and you got tagged by the radar. i was going to do a 'loser blow by' and leave you and your new friend a cloud of smoke to enjoy but a rare moment of sense befell me and i didnt.
hope he didnt give you a ticket
and take your time i'm a good 30 minutes ahead of you and there seesms to be a state trooper every 10 miles or so yesterday and today

The stretch of I-57 from Mt. Vernon south to MO is known nationwide by every truck driver out there. Amazing when your all the way out west and hear em talking about where you live being the worst for bears.
I-24 in IL is getting pretty bad too. They sit on the bridge at Exit 27 and 5 and pop folks. Always a party of them on the other side.
lotsofmiles 11-07-2009, 07:03 PM I was surprised how many motorcycle cops were out. It was like they had a 50 degree day in late Oct and figured it might be their last chance to ride.
cant wait to see how many areout this time, heading back to Arkansas soon.

counted 7 state troopers, and 2 county so far. some of em must be off work.
geezzzzzz, 3 were on motorcycles and its 45 out.
cruise is at 65 and I cant wait till I hit I-70 and turn right.

What a joke?! I can see going slower with a trailer for obvious reasons, we're taking my toy hauler, 65 would be a good pulling speed. A few buddies of mine and I were going to go down that way to go ride down south on spring break this year, but we have since decided to go to OK/N TX.

I was raised in Metropolis, Il but moved across the river to Paducah, Ky now. I get up that way several times a year.
