Does anyone know anything about the IH Farmall B 450 diesel tractors? I know it's British made and parts will be hard to find but would it be a good tractor to tractor pull with and could one hot rod it somewhat easily ? Thanks

The B450 was a british made diesel IIRC. Many old IH collector guys should be able to help you find parts

i would say no...... i've worked on some IH450's...... lots were gassers....they are all under powered to be a puller.... and i dont think the block was real thick either... so i dont think you can bore it to get more....
but if your just startin your pri not gonna try to win all that much....so i say heck just do it.... they have a rotary pump dont they??? its been over a year since i did it so i dont remeber much about them....

i guess any thing could be a good puller if you got enough money

IIRC i thought they had an inline but that may be a different old IH diesel that im thinking of.
theres people getting big power out of the H's and M's if you want a good antique puller

never really dynoed it but im sure its capable of about 600 when tuned right.
I bent my rods due to poor tuning on my part. I also trashed my turbo and oil pump due to 6 bad injectors pooring fuel into the crankcase. 6 quarts of fuel to be exact and i neve r drove it on the road.
