Finally got the 6.2 sitting inside of my Jeep p/u and I'm wondering if I should wire the glow plug controller and relay from GM or if I should wire a manual switch and call it good? Also, for my application, what would be the best glow plugs to use? I live in the Sierras so we go from one extreme to another 10* to 100*
Also, I noticed on the IP that there are a couple of "connections." Which one is the fuel shutoff solenoid?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Do yourself a favor and go direct to a manual glow plug system. Use a/c 60g plugs. The fuel solenoid wire is the large spade on the very top of the injection pump cover. The spade off to the left, looking from the front of the pump is the cold advance.:cool2:

The cold advance? What should I do with that? Should it be run?
Thanks for all of the help and input...I really appreciate it!

To wire the cold advace solenoid and fast idle you'll first find the switch that will be located on the passengers' side head, just after the #8 injector towards the rear. You will wire a hot from a switched ignition circuit to one of the connectors on the switch. The other connector on the switch you'll run to the cold advance connector on the injection pump, also Y this wire to the fast idle solenoid that sits above the injection pump. This circuit will only be hot while the engine is cold enough for the switch to remain closed, hence cold idle advance and a higher idle because of the fast idle solenoid pressing down slightly on the throttle shaft.
