What oil/filter is everyone using and how far between changes?

I would recommend using an oil that is readily available to you. I recommend the wix oil filters and change them about every 3-4 K miles. As for me, I Use Redline Synthetic. I change it every 10K miles. I change Wix filters every 5K. I will say, I am one that has an engine that does not burn a drop. I add 10 qts at change and will drain a little over 9 out, Figure their is 1/2 qt in filter and then anything I lose in overflow. ek motorsports 06-27-2005, 08:43 AM Can you get Wix filters locally?? dmaxscott 06-28-2005, 01:11 PM Dealer filters and Mobile 1 5w40 every 4 to 6k. I try sooner but during the summer I rack the miles up fast. I know over kill also but cheap insurance and keeps my baby happy. I use to use Rotella 15w-40 syn but switched to Mobil 1 when it became avail everywhere. I "think" (think key word) I am doing my truck better. Since I am not an in-gi-neer, I have no idea.
