If all goes well, I'll be the proud owner of a 03 dually D/A on Monday and need to update my signature :ro) . It is a base model and only has the am/fm radio. If I can find a factory am/fm/cd, is it easy to swap in? I think I have to stay away from BOSE items, but will any of the other '03/'04 decks work? Any programming req'd by the dealer (thought I had read this in one of the thread in the old board, but I can't find it).

Should be an easy swap, but you'll need to have a tech reprogram it for your truck. Make sure that the CD radio you buy is compatible with your truck, since some GM radios look similar, but only work in certain vehicles, or so I've been told. Ebay usually has a good selection of factory CD radios. A good ebay seller will tell you what vehicle it came out of, so you'd be sure it will work in your truck.

yes the radios will swap around took the one out of m y03 dually with cd and stuck in in my fatherinlaws work van base model am/fm only. He had to take it to the dealer to "program" it from when it was taken out of the truck and then reinstalled into another.
