: Cummins HP?
dkubek 05-28-2005, 12:34 AM Just curious what kind of hp numbers you Cummins guys are pushing out? I know there are some d-max's out there in the 700 club with N2O and 500+ just with all their mods. When my 6.5 goes, I will probably be putting a 12-valve in her. Thanks.
Buckshotmckee 05-28-2005, 09:43 AM I think that I'm somewhere around the 400-425hp mark. I haven't had a chance to dyno, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm perfectly happy at the power level that I'm at right now.
I'm in the 380 RWHP mark with just a TST box on level 5/5.
Cummins have been over 700 for many years. They ones hitting 1000 don't give out their numbers. That's serious competition. Big bucks in those rigs.
dkubek 05-29-2005, 02:10 AM Very Impressive, no doubt!!!
John DiMartino 05-31-2005, 11:25 PM 583-603RWHP on #2, ,I havent run the N20 in over a yr now,but id venture to guess itd be around 700 with it,from my last runs with it over a yr ago.

Lower your EGTs, maybe a little more power, and a little more sound. What are you looking to do?
Timdog 06-02-2005, 12:39 AM I'm about 490 on #2 and 630 with nos.

Now, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!!:ro) I am sure those that frequent your forums know your truck as I didn't venture outside of the 6.5L threads much before the re-structuring of the site, but what truck do you have, year....? Thanks
I have always loved the Cummins diesel. I think they are amazing engines. Plus I know quite a few people that work for them Back Home IN Indiana. Everyones HP numbers are amazing!

These are a few of the amazing diesels some of our members have on the NWBombers Website: www.nwbombers.com (http://www.nwbombers.com) I've had the privledge of helping turn a wrench or 2 on them and go for rides!
Nathan's 2nd gen (VP44) Dodge 4x4 Makes darn near 700 on Diesel only
Loud and Obnoxious 06-20-2005, 09:14 PM The Cummins is the king of hp and tq. I know of a truck in the 900hp level on #2 only. The 12v with a P-pump is still the king of hp the vp44 can't flow enough fuel to keep up with the P7100 pump that came on the second gen 12v and the common rail trucks are using nos to get to the 700hp level thats right Old school is still kickin out the big big hp#s
