You got one the OEM Racor, rating of 5-15 micron .... You should consider a final filter down to at least 98% efficiency to 2 micron post or pre..... Do some searching around here you'll find some very beneficial info on this subject ....

No one has yet experienced any real increase in vacuum resulting in poor performance with secondary filters installed .... Both Pumps, lift and High Pressure are gear driven and considerd very reliable .....

Most filters are well with in the flow rate of the Duramax and almost all will exceed the factory Racor and the stock or slightly modified Duramax requirements ....
