When I am creeping forward in heavy traffic, the truck shudders when I apply the brake. Anyone had this happen to them?

It does not do it all the time, but the longer I am creeping along, the more it happens. I think it is the engine and not the brakes causing the shudder.

Any ideas?

I always back in my drive and into the garage at idle speed riding the brake. It shutters anytime I ride the brake. IMHO it is the hydraulic brake assist kicking in and out. Later! Frank

Sound like the fuel pressure regulator. Mine does the same thing. I just havent had time to take it to the dealer yet

Mine does the same thing from time to time. It happened just after a reflash.

I have had a similar feeling when braking at slow speed. Roll your window down and see if you hear what sounds like a rubber squeak. If you hear the squeak it is a U-joit going south. Just had one replaced on Tuesday for the same problem.

I had the same in my 01 Dmax. I don't think it's something to worry about.

Mine does same as Frank's. Reverse only. Had it checked out at the dealer 2 times and same result..... Its fine, stop worrying! I did and it has been no problem.
