I am wanting to go the route of a Quad with Juice/Attitude stacked when I actually get my HD. I keep hearing guys talking about running their Quads on 215 and then the Juice on a lower level, but at the same time I hear that anything over 100 RWP added will require tranny mods. So what can safely do with a stock Allison? When trans mods are necessary, do you need to build the entire trans or can you make certain mods?
Also, what is a lift pump?

you need to stay under 100rwhp if you arent planning on beefing up the allison
about any 90-100 horse chip will be ok with the stock tranny
usually a torque convertor and a good valve body or shift kit will hold a lot more power over stock. it just depands what your trannys already like
a lift pump is a pump that is in the fuel line usually mounted under the truck on the frame rail that helps push the fuel to the injection pump
sorry the lift pump isnt actually in the fuel line but usually an in line pump that is spliced into the main fuel line and is usually mounted somewhere under the truck like on the frame rail or before the injection pump
 i hope i explained that right

Without doing a tranny mod, stacking is going to be no good for you. The stack will create way much more power than the tranny can handle and you'll end up needing a new trannty right away.

Alright, so with a Quad 215 stacked with the Juice/Attitude on say level 2, what kind of tranny mods would be needed? For that matter, is it even adviseable to run the Quad on 215?

Do a search here (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=58) or here (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=41) for trans up grades. The most popular seems to be the Suncoast III for cost and performance. I've played w/ more than 100hp on my QUAD/HJ, but a built trans has been planed on since day one. Just a couple more bucks to go.

Within two weeks of installing my 110hp stealth.....set at 110hp...I limped fifth gear. After that it was easier and easier to limp. I'd take these very knowledgeable guys advice....stay low on the enhancements or plan to upgrade the tranny. I upgraded and haven't stopped smiling :). I should be installing my new 215hp tunes next week!!
Good Luck,

Oh I have no problem building the trans, just trying to make sure it was necessary with that kind of a setup.
Limped the trans in my 2001 GMC many times with just propane. With me it would go into limp in fifth gear when I was hammering it. Felt like something exploded when it happened. In stock form the Allison is weak. At least it tells you you're hurting it.
Havent limped the trans in the Dodge yet! It doesn't have limp mode. :grd:

Now that I think about it the 215 is just too much for anything I'd need. So let's say I had the Quad 135 stacked with Juice/Attitude. Other than an intake kit and exhaust, what other upgrades would I need, especially transmission? I don't plan on racing.

Do you have an EGT/pyro gauge?? That would be priority one.
The tranny would need to be tweaked. The guys on this site with tons of Allison experience could probably tell you specifically what you'd need. I went with a whole kit. Torque converter, frictions, apply plates, TransGo kit etc. You'll find several different manufacturers and many different opinions on each here. So, you'll have to do your homework and decide which you like.
Having gone through my tranny a year ago.....I can tell you there is a night and day difference. I limped it in fifth a few times.....and to see the burnt edges on the frictions was amazing......and I don't race :) or pull. It is a big hit in the wallet....but worth every penny when you start pouring fuel onto the fire.
Good Luck,
Wayne
