zipman5150 10-22-2009, 09:54 PM ok, so no new mods to the rig except some new tires and rims.. I went to H2's and wrapped them with Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2's in a 315 x 70 R17. i am still running the quad 2 on 70hp no DPF. the only think different i did, is 16 ounces of 2 stroke in a full take of fuel... i have run through half a tank, and on the way home today on a nice quiet strech of road near Miramar i decide to try my 0 to 60 times... i consistantly have been running 6.00 - 6.02. today i ran 5.97. then i went back to the same strech and did it again because i didn't believe it... i ran 5.96.... wow... I am loving it....
Meeko 10-22-2009, 09:59 PM What were your old wheel and tires?? Maybe your new ones are lighter? I rotated my tires the othe day and its hard to believe how heavy my wheel and tires are.
ryanryan 10-22-2009, 11:26 PM What are the lights and switches for on your dash pod?

Upper left is for the Garmin GPS. I hard wired it in and hid the wire... the lower one with the light is for the 1500 watt power inverter in the bed. I also have power from the inverter in the cab...

I still got ass whoopings and your change. Ran outta cake a long time ago. Fortunately, I still owe you some change;).
I think the real question here from me is, "On your way to getting 0-60's in the 5's, were there any unforeseen problems?"
Crappy tunes, tranny troubles, warranty claims argued over, programmers you didn't like, etc.
And, as a co-worker always tells me, "If you want mercy, the church is down the road."

Only things that i have had go wrong, is the Hydro boost went south twice, power steering pump once and the steering box threw a tooth once... that about it... warranty covered it all no ?'s asked... i run the 70 hp tune, cause it gives me the best millage to power ratio...no tranny troubles.. i am gonna do a trans go jr one of these days... i have changed the tranny fluid and spin on filter every 30 k after the first 5 k... and i run an air raid cold air intake with no resonator....
onefoxalpha 10-23-2009, 02:14 PM zipman, How did you get those tires and wheels to fit? I am thinking about doing 285/70/17 revos on my 17 inch stock rims. Would love to get some H2s and the 315s... Care to share your thoughts on how to do it!?
Also.. where can I pick up some H2s? Love the truck

The fit Great... I have the leveling kit on there... I had to do a little trimming to the skirt, and have to do a little trimming on the front corner of the bumper, no big deal @ all.. i get just a hair of rub when i am turning tight into a driveway... I thought of the 285's but my buddy @ discount said i will order in both the 285's and the 315's... we can trial fit them and see.. they were the same price for me... I got my H2's from craigslist one day... $100 for all 4 and they are of the 2003 vintage;).. I love the look, and the tire... i had the revo on my 3/4 ton Avalanche and it was a great tire... I am really happy with the Revo 2's... Now on there for 2 weeks and 1500 miles....
Just have to ask, but was your Edge adjusted for the new tire size? If not, you were actually measuring your 0-57.7 MPH time on the new tires.
wellsheit 10-23-2009, 03:22 PM That and cooler air. I've noticed my Dmax feels slightly better on the pull w/ 40 degree dry air as opposed to summer time alabama pea soupish air of 95 degrees w/ 130% humidity.

the Edge reads Mph from the computer and the computer has been adjusted to be accurate... i have confirmed this also by using a gps to compare the speedo with...
LMM_Guy 10-23-2009, 06:29 PM Just to give you something to compare to, My chrysler 300C ran a 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds stock, with ~1k bucks worth of mods it now runs it in 5.6 seconds..........you just did about the same time in a 7,500 lb truck.
:D
chillyzlmm 10-23-2009, 08:47 PM 5.2 second 0-60 evo on level 3 :)
