Hey all. Will be due for tires, soon.
Looking at putting on Bridgestone Revos in a 265. Load range D.

What kind of milage (total wear) have you guys gotten out of them?

Heard nothing but good things about them, with the exception of longevity out of them......

I have been a Michelin LTX/MS fan for the last 11 years on three trucks. Had no problems with them. But I am looking for something that is better on ice.

I have 30,000km's on mine and they are probaby 1/4 - 1/3 worn. I think I will get close to 100,000km's (60,000 miles) out of them. If I get over 50,000km's this will be first set ot tires that have ever lasted me more then 50,000kms.

Only 50,000?

I know that if a tire is gonna be good on ice, it will be a softer rubber compound. And wear faster.

But...............YEE IKES!

I have about 35K miles on mine, and will be tire shopping this summer -:t . According to Bronco's post in the old accessories and aftermarket section, I have the "old" tread pattern. The new patter is supposed to improve wear life. I love the tires especially in the rain and snow.

35K Miles from 1 set of tires? OMFG!
This is EXACTLY why a person runs 2 sets.
DEDICATED aggressive winters IE Toyo M-55 or Traction King
Dedicated Summers: Michelin LTX-M/S or AT's

To Date, I have thrown out my winters this year (after 3 years)
And my Michelin's will be on thier 3rd year.

Ya, the cost is prohibitive at first, but the long term bennies are there.

If i had to do it again, I would like to try out the 19.5's and refit the rear axle with a full on Air Ride system.

I have about 25k on mine (E load range) and they're doing OK, mostly because of me not paying attention to my air pressures. For some stupid reason, I apparently have a lack of ability to see center wear in the rear tires.

I started out running 60 psi front and 50 rear. That was OK for the front but not for the rear. I've since rotated and am now running 55 in the front and 45 in the rear, and they seem to be coming back to me with more even wear.

I think if you pay careful attention to your pressures and measure the tread depth once in a while to make sure you're not losing your mind like I am, then you can make them go pretty far.

They are a reasonably soft compound which Bridgestone seems to be very good at (I run their amazing Blizzaks in the winter). I'm happy with the handling.

Since I have mine kinda wearing out of whack, I have a little bit of road noise.

I would buy them again.

Load range E, 40,000 but will be looking to replace within the next 5,000. I feel the trailer and pin weight was biggest factor in wear. VERY happy with them and will be putting another set on.

Check out the new Dunlop RVXT's and all New Goodyear Wrangler with Kevlar.
LTX M/S are hard to beat.

I have them on 2 trucks, 1 that's a pain to rotate, 26/27k on them and they will need to be changed out this fall, prob about 35k, note they are 235/85's and are always run at 80psi because it leves loaded in the am and return empty in the pm. The other set is on my 01,265's, put about 15k on towing last year/ no rotate 80 psi and pulled the trailer 80% of the time plus a few smoke shows, they get taken off in winter for blizacks and the were rotated when I put them on in April, I should get 40k on them with the type of use they get. My stock 245's I am lucky to get 25k out of. Wife tells me my foot is made outa lead.):h I will buy them again. I have them ordered for my 03 , just waiting to get time to :grd: . Duramax's now owned, 01,02,03 and 2 05's and thinking about a 06 to replace a 96 2500 5.7 with 125k.

I got about 30,000 miles out of mine.
I will not buy another set. They would not stay balanced for some reason. I hate the way they rode also. It gave me an uneasy feeling. Kind of like motion sickness or something. It think it was the sidewall flex but I don't know. People riding with me even asked about the weird feeling.

I have the same problems, I finally got use to the feel (felt like the wheel was moving but the tread was staying put, side wall flex) I will be trying a different tire when these wear out.

What kind of pressures were you guys running at, to get the sidewall flex?

Also, thanx for all the replies.

Mixed reviews............... Not sure what to do.

Been happy with the Michelins. But up here in Grande Prairie, people have said that there is allot more ice like conditions, then back home. People have said in older threads that the Revos stick to the ice better.

I'm not familiar with Bronco's thread about "old tire pattern". What was said (in 10 words or less)?

Basically that the new revos have a different center block pattern and they should last longer.

Bronco stated new "Revo II's" have diagonal cut every 2" in center tread bar. New design is supposed to increase tread life. Here is the thread (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31692)
:sorrysign , more than 10 words :o:

I run two sets mounted on two sets of PY0 rims. For winter, it is hard to beat the Nokians. If you are going to run only one set throughout all 12 months, consider the Nokian Vatiiva. Popular here in snowy Vermont.

My buddy put 285 revos on his truck before it was stolen, and when i looked at them, i told him he better not plan on going off the asphalt as he wouldnt make it far. The tread looked pathetic for a truck. Im not trying to piss anyone off or anything, but i wouldnt recommend them unless you stay on solid surfaces...

I don't have any experience with revos on a full size truck but I do have a set on my ford ranger. They ride better than any all terrain truck tire I've ever used. I currently have about 10k on them and they look brand new. I've been rotating every 5k. I think they are under warranty for 50k. Excellent wet and dry traction on the road and decent traction in the sand, would probably be better if I let some air out of them off road. I currently have some Nitto terra Grapplers on order for my dmax, I've heard nothing but good things about these tires and they are a lot less expensive than the Revos.
