Recently General Motors posted a video on YouTube teasing six-new Camaro stripe designs that will be on display at the 2009 SEMA Show. In the backdrop for the video there is also a rather wild looking pickup truck, which is believed to also be a special projected also headed to SEMA.

Reported to be called the Silverado Baja Off-Road, this pickup gets some serious restyling with a huge grille, flared fenders and a suspension lift. Presumably, the idea behind the truck is to build a conceptual competitor to the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, although the oversized wheels and low profile tires are a strange addition for an off-roader. Then again, this is SEMA.

Unless GM lets anything else slip out between now and November 3rd, we'll have to wait for the truck's reveal at the 2009 SEMA Show.

I didn't see anything of a truck talked about but maybe they are talking about the "Copter Package" and Cognito Motorsports in Booth #36073 ??

doesnt look like any kind of an off road truck too me. Suspension is not wider for more travel, fenders are not any wider, Bumper looks bretty stock and ready to rip off if takin in the dirt, let alone look at the wheel and tire size. With those big wheels your sure to taco a rim in 100 miles or less. I really dont think its a "baja" chevy. If it is, ill judge this book by the cover and say that the ford raptor will beat it off road in a heart beat, as much as that stabs my heart to say :D

I leave Fri early a.m and towing the truck out to Vegas. Then flying back home to have the weekend with the kids and then Dre and I fly back Wed a.m for the rest of the week before we drive everything back home.

if you scroll down the page it says they introduced a concept silverado zr2 package with 20's and 35" with bds shocks and 4" lift. Looks awesome and there are more pics. Oh and forgot a SUPERCHARGED LS MOTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GM isn't that stupid and any off road truck ain't coming with 20s. But I have heard a few rumors that they are working on it!
