I bought a used superchips flashpaq to read the codes on my truck. my buddy just bought a duramax and wanted to programmer to give some extra power when towing. I tried to load the superchips into his truck but it came back with an error. When you read the truck it comes up with his vin. is the superchip vin locked from when i bought it used? i have never loaded any program on my truck with it just scanned codes. If it is locked is there any way to unlock it?

You have to contact Superchips and see what they can do. They probably charge something to do that.
