I have an 07 LLY, two days after I picked it up from the dealer it begain to make a roaring sound as you are driving down the road. The best way I can descriped it is that it sounds like a fan clutch is engaged all the time. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was normal but they did check the fan clutch and said it was ok. I advised them that I have another 07 LLY and it does not sound like that. After four days of driving I took it back and a second technician test drove it and said he believes it's the transmission. The next day it quit making the noise. Now 8,000 miles later, it's doing it again. Anyone have any ideas?

Mine did that at about 2500 miles, but also threw a SES light. Clutch fan was bad and had to be replaced. This was appearently a big problem, because it took 2 weeks to get the replacement part. IIRC, the fan clutch on the 07 and newers are electronically controlled, and not reliant on Temp as they were in the past.
I would take it back to the dealer again, or drive the piss out of it a couple days and see if it sets a SES light. More than likely, it will need replaced

Thanks, I agree, I think it's the fan clutch but they keep telling me it's not. It has never thrown a code so they keep giving me the run around!

Try turning on AC when you hear the noise and see if the sound changes
