: P1093? Any Way to fix problem?
05dirty 05-26-2005, 08:07 PM With the hot juice, and hot ppe:grd:, stacked keep throwing codes. Is there anyway to fix this problem, i have searched this on this site, all i see are peoples problems but no answer, didnt know if there was one. And also can i leave the ppe pluged in and when it throws the code just clear it? thanks again. Hope there is an answer!
Max Power 05-26-2005, 08:10 PM Nothing yet.....
Yes you can leave the ppe plugged in and clear codes on the fly.
McRat 05-26-2005, 09:44 PM The major problem with finding a "cure" is that nobody yet knows why it happens.
A lift pump and a clean filter seem to help alot.
05dirty 05-26-2005, 10:04 PM One more thing, does your guys dirtymax kick the code everytime you get on it? Let me know, what settings your running and how often you guys are kicking codes? Just for shi*** I would appreciate it thanks.
McRat 05-26-2005, 10:16 PM I sometimes go thousands of miles without seeing a code. Other days, I get a herd of them.
RickDLance 05-26-2005, 10:25 PM Same problem here. New style filters seem to make it worse. Mine will do it stock when loaded heavy.
05dirty 05-26-2005, 10:28 PM McRat, you say you go thousands of miles without seeing a code, is with that you getting on it, such as WOT? Just wondering. Thanks.
McRat 05-26-2005, 10:35 PM Yep. I normally go WOT a few times a day to "blow the carbon out". :D
I can do 25 1/4mi passes back-to-back without coding at 466HP. Then throw 10 of them on the way home.
turbo lcc 05-26-2005, 10:36 PM Can you guys get the 1093 while running the predator 100hp for extended times?
05dirty 05-26-2005, 10:41 PM Thanks for the replys...McRat anyone working on this problem, or was it a design by gm, to maybe reduce problems, because of turned up trucks? I have heard also though of stock trucks doing this, from readings i did on this site. Thanks
McRat 05-26-2005, 10:47 PM The Predator 100 will 1093 on Big Blue. Not too bad, but it happens.
I think the problem is an overly sensitive "test" for low rail pressure coded into the PCM. I've thrown it with the cruise control on before.
mrmagu 05-26-2005, 11:03 PM On same day, same track that McRat ran 25 clean 1/4's, I would 1093'd 6 of 14 runs. Clean on way to track, herd of 1093's on way back home. Oddly enough, ran 8 runs with pane and NOS with no 1093's.....does not compute!!
IdahoRob 05-27-2005, 12:06 AM I've run predator on 100 for 6k miles and never thrown 1093, but truck seems to be short of fuel lately. Why, I'm trying to figure it out. No 1093's with 10k on fuel filter and no fuel in the tank and pred. on 100hp. Go figure.

bsanders 05-27-2005, 01:38 AM My truck used to have that problem with the p1093 code . I'm driving a 04.5 3500 dually lly with hypertech 111 and a ats tranny, banks exuast and after merket intake. I used to get that dam code all the time even running without a tune. I tryed replaceing the fuel filter and it still threw the code. The dealer was able to fix the problem by replacing the highpressure fuel relieve valve. Aparently what happens is that it builds such high pressure within the rail that the valve fails and starts to let fuel back towards the low side. The computer senses that there isn't enough pressure or fuel to meet demand so it throws the code. Replacing the valve fixed it for me .I have driven real hard and underload without a single dam p1093.
I hope my story helps!!!

link to thread, possible solution, agreeing with above post.

05dirty 05-27-2005, 02:51 PM BSANDERS, what kind of high pressure fuel relieve valve did they replace it with? Did they order a new one from gm or what? If that is the case if you could find out from the dealer I would appreciate it. I would buy one and replace mine just to see if it would work! Thanks
McRat 05-27-2005, 03:07 PM It's in the driver's side fuel rail. It is not sold separately. About $300 IIRC.
partsguy662 05-27-2005, 03:11 PM Can you guys get the 1093 while running the predator 100hp for extended times?
Lynn, I have yet to set a 1093 on my truck.....I guess I just don't drive it hard enough
4kops 05-27-2005, 04:11 PM I tried to attach a pic of the Dmax common rail system from GM but I can't figure how to do it I have it has a word doc. and it won't let me attach that, but anyways I believe the GM p/n is a 97358556 which screws into the back of the drivers side rail and that is not availble by itself from GM you have to buy the whole rail which is GM p/n 97303659 and it's about $300.00 us however Bosch does offer this by itself for half the money. They are on backorder from Bosch I have one that will be here mid next week I'm going to try it. If someone can attach the word doc. that I have let me know and I will email it to you so you can post it.
8shot 05-27-2005, 05:15 PM I have bin waiting 2 1/2 weeks for new fuil rail. Getting sick of driving with cat back on. If they dont get it in soon going to take it off agian. Have to pull 5th wheel up to Morro Bay on the 7th, and want it to breathe.
4kops 06-15-2005, 03:13 PM Just got the new relief valve installed will keep updating.
