I met one of these on the road today, from a head on perspective they just look like an ordinary utility truck. The only reason I took a second look is beause it was yellow and I had seen a yellow CXT last week at the dealership. There should be something more destinctive from the front view of the truck. Still pretty awesome though.

A little light in the HP/Torque department for my taste. There are probably mods available though. Doesn't much matter , I'll never have one.:(

If I had that kind of money to throw around I'd rather have a custom Peterbuilt done up. They're cool none the less.

With an unladen curb weight of 14,500lb and a 220HP engine, it probably has the acceleration of a Winnebago. Perhaps less even.
It looks cool, but I can't figure out what market it's aimed at. For pulling a large trailer? It's too high for a 5th wheel. As far as off-roading goes, it's weight would keep you on maintained fireroads I would imagine. Sand or mud would not be it's friend.

It's just Kinda like owning a H1, or a Corvette or something of that ilk. If I had the dough I could appreciate it but it would not be practicle.

I can see an H1, it is arguably the best production off-road vehicle in the world.
And the Corvette? 28mpg highway actually makes it a comfortable commuter car, as well as a capable weekend racecar.
Other than it's physical size and weight, the CXT does not appear to have anything going for it. A F-550 or similiar seems to be a better vehicle.

its one of those i got one and you dont trucks. the 4 wheel drive versions are massive and look aggressive, i think thats why i like it.

A guy that lives around me has one. He has a custom made flatbed on it and uses it to pull a 35' goosneck flatbed. Kind of overkill if you ask me $120K+ just to pull a flatbed trailer :confuzeld

Well you all can say how underpowered that is but how many of you have ever ran a DT 466 engine those things are torque monsters and will hold up for long hours at high rpms i run International Harvester Tractors with B-C series Dt 466 all have ran over 18,000 hrs before we rebuilt them and only rebuilt them just out of kindness we also have 4 4900 trucks with ally autos and 2 of them have over million miles and still original stock engines at least they build engines to last i cant say that with About Duramax power 5500s with 300,000 they been gone through already
