Can ya help??
Have the originally installed 6-pin connector and now use a 4-pin adaptor AND it also has a spliced in (By RV dealer) 4-pin plug connector for hooking up lights on towed car.
At one time all worked well at both connectors but now do not get brake lights on car from either plug. All other lights work ok and all RV lights work ok.

BUT, to add, last night found out front emergency flasher work but rears do not.

Suggestion??

Thanks,

Daysu

Check for blown fuse on the side of the dash in the fuse box also look for a blown fuse in the underhood box. Also make sure you have good grounds on the 4 ways

I just fix the same problem with my connector today. The problem was that over time the connections inside the adapters got water inside and corroded. I ended up taking all the adapters apart and cleaned everything, then put everything back together with a coating of dielectric grease.

Use a conductivity meter to see if current is getting from one end of the line to the other before and after cleaning. You can also use a spare 12v battery to see is all the lights work by connecting the ground wire to the ground terminal, then use a +ve test line to touch each line in the adapter to see that it does indeed make the lights go on. You can also use this method to see which line is giving you the problem.

Good Luck.
