Well the truck still doesn't run, but at least now it'll sound badass when it does. Built it out of scraps mostly, the tip is actually a piece of non-aluminized 4" pipe buddy was throwing out, cut a slash on it with the grinder...I think it looks better that way. Pipe itself is 3" aluminized welded to the original soot trap flange. I used self etching primer on the tip, it's either paint or rust since it's not aluminized, so I chose paint. It's a tight squeeze but it doesn't hit anything, believe it or not.

Nice job, at least you don't have to worry about keeping the tip clean from soot lol.

Haha that's exactly why I chose black primer instead of grey

I'm planning on doing a full proper exhaust system sometime down the road, crossover and all, but I can't afford that yet and I wasn't about to leave the stock nonsense on...this should do in the meantime

Pics aren't so great, my flash sucks, and a black pipe doesn't show up well to begin with

Now you need to paint the rims black to match that tip and you wont have to worry about any soot problems!
I actually like the side exit exhaust, it has alittle more pop to it than the full exhaust.
What is the water/dirt line on your truck from?
Has she been sitting awhile?

Yup, I bought it off a guy who let it sit in his driveway for 2.5 years after the IP went south, I'll clean her up once she's a driver again. I thought about doing the rims black too...but I think that looks good on black trucks, not so good on white trucks
I honestly have no idea how long that pipe is...it was a piece of scrap a buddy gave me for a couple bucks, never thought to measure it. I did need to extend it a bit to reach the 45 where it needed to be. I could always take a measurement from the flange to the 45 next time I'm at the shop

Looks good, I like the black tip, shows kinda stealthy like.
I saved up over a couple of months and went for the whole she-bang. Cross over and 3" downpipe to 4" exhaust kit. Nice sounding kit. Not too loud but enough rumble to let you know when the fun meter meter is starting to peg/mileage reducer mode is full ON.

Thanks for props, guys!
German Shepard/Rottweiler cross. Good looking dog IMO, amazing temperment too. And healthy, as mutts usually are
