I talked to a rep the other day and he said as of April 8 the techs told him 90 days. I don't know if I can trust that because they all are sub'd out reps working on commission -:t . Take it for what it's worth.

The Banks rep told me that the PDA would be out in mid July. They have to order them from Palm, at least that was the story I got.

As far as I know, they will only be using the Palm and you have to get it from them. They will not program one for you. Yes, they have you by the short hairs.

As far as what it will do, the same thing as the Attitude but cordless.

IIRC, it has quiite a bit more to offer than the attitude, it will read and clear codes, it will give you graph plots of any data it reads (EGT, trans temp, etc.) plus remember it's PC based with windows OS, so all options are available like movies, music, MP3, a PC camera for a B/U camera, GPS sensor for navigation, store/view pictures from a digital camera and anyting else PC based you can think of. I think it will correct for tire size, but only on its speedometer read out because it cant change the PCM

Actually I thought it was palm based?

Sorry, I was under the impresion that the Palm used a windows version for its OS. I have not personally used a Palm, I stand corrected. My brother in law uses one (or some form of) and I thought it was windows based. That may change my opionion of the Banks PDA, can any of the stuff I mentioned be used with Palms OS?

should be kool, hopefully they will make the display large enough to read compared to the edge unit, you need a magnifier to see it while full throttle trying to watch the road at the same time.

I was told by a Banks rep that it will be the Tungsten handheld of the Palm, but did not tell me whether I needed to buy it through them or if I could buy my own and plug it in.

I talked to Banks yesterday and you do have to get it through Banks. It's $499 from what I remember him saying. They actually have them in stock now for the LLY but they won't ship till they have stock for all other makes. He said it is due to ship 7/1. One other thing about it is you don't need the speed loader option, or gauges so if you buy it in a "bundle" the additional cost is only about $250.

Jaime

I already have the same palm. I am not going to buy the same palm just to get this program. I am very interested to see if someone in Colorado gets one what they have done to modify it to work with our trucks.

Is the cradle for the dash with charge connections something Banks makes, or is it an accessory from Palm?
