blazinmax 10-17-2009, 10:31 AM driving around the other day looking for deer with the radio off when i noticed a pecking or knocking noise. it's coming from top center of engine compartment i think. only does it when i press on the throttle and it eases up as my speed increases . any ideas? truck seems to be running fine. good oil pressure, idle, and everything as far as i can tell Tanc Crusher 10-17-2009, 11:16 AM Might be the common type writer sound that is common on these trucks. Usually noticed mostly after an oil change. Also can be louder or quieter with different oils from post i read. Use the search tool for ' typewriter ' and see if that seems the same.
