I have a 2004 6.0l F250. I have installed an Edge Juice w/Attitude monitor, a K&N filter kit, and 4" exhaust. My intercooler hose blows off on occasion when I am under acceleration or a load. Is there any way to keep this from happening, or is there an aftermarket part I could get to eliminate this. I also have some coarse noise from time to time when I let off the accelerator that sounds as though it is comming from the air filter. I have been told this noise is not a problem but it doesn't sound good.
Thanks
Bryan

Common.
My friends 6.0 does this
Pull the hose off the CAC and clean the excess oil off of the IC tube using a mild solvent. Do the same for the boot. Allow the solvent to dissipate to the air.
Wipe the areas thoroughly with a dry cotton rag to get rid of the remaining residue.
Reinstall hose and spring clamp.
On my his we had to roughen the IC tube using sandpaper to give the hose and clamp some 'grip'
That fixed the problem.
Thanks for the help.

Clean and inspect, apply hair spray, reinstall and torq to specs.....:D
The noise you hear is pressure, the VGT does not have a waste gate....commonly known as Turbo Fart.....):h

I don't know what kind of hose clamps are on the hose, but I would try some t-bolt hose clamps. You can really tighten them and they don't back off.

Not sure if it is like Windows for Dummies or complaints. ):h A ton of 6.0l's have been sold and if you narrow the field down to the people that have a problem it is a small percentage. Most questions are repeat, and some problems are self induced.......EPA raises the bar so engineers have to respond. Could be a master technition will have to have a masters degree.
Just glad to help others.:)
