SO after straight piping my exhaust i got home and the wife was not very happy about the "Noise." I ended up going back to the shop that did it and asked them to get me a "compromise." I wanted the nice sound but needed to baffle it just a touch. He recommended the glasspack and I have to say that so far I'm very happy with the setup. Any way my Q is, what is the flow through a glasspack like? Am I gonna have any of the cooling benefits that I was trying to achieve in the first place? Also, is there any higher chance of soot buildup in one of these as opposed to another type of muffler? Thanks

whats in inlet and outlet of a glasspack? Most diesel mufflers are that straight through glasspack design anyways. There really wouldnt be any draw back from the glasspack compared to a straight pipe as long as they didnt use one from a gasser and choke your 4" down to a smaller pipe to go in it.
