I have 09 lmm,ltz and their is a rattle in the dash, 2700 miles, sounds like it is inside dash right in front of driver, anyone know what this is, driving me nuts! I have pushed on all dash panel parts and stuck my arm underneath and moved things around to get it to stop and it won't quit.

I have the same problem with my 08. Mine comes from the middle and where the 2pc. dash meets. Was thinking of putting weatherstripping on it but not sure if that will work.

These trucks rattle everywhere. Knowing up in the dash now. Had something at a time or too and stopped. Current is in driver between the doors pillar. Also have sat in the truck and as the sun hit it you can here it pop and crack as the metal heated up from the sun. Way to thin metal and to much plastic on plastic.

Yep, I hear it too. Tired of it. Loved GM all my life (raced and driven since 1999)....but these things are plastic. This is my 2nd Dmax... and maybe my last. I have been brand loyal too long. Maybe obama will fix it. LOL

I just spent the morning taking almost the entire dash apart and removing all the panels to fix my rattles. The metal plate below the steering wheel was completely loose and just fell off when i removed the panel. Also, I was able to tighten all of the screws and bolts in my dash at least one turn, some took a few turns. I reassembled everything and put foam double sided strips everywhere the panels touched.
I can actually hear the diesel rattle and not my interior rattle now! There are no rattles at all now. I'm very happy with the results.

Glad to hear you can't hear your rattles...you for hire...in North Dakota...in January? My truck rattles like the rest do.

My O8 Rattled From New, I Found On Mine If You Take The Plastic Fuse Panel Door Off, The One Between The Drivers Door And Dash It Goes Away.
