: 16" whls on an '09, will they work???? oliver454 10-14-2009, 11:08 AM Time to put the winter tires and wheels on, tires are on '03 GMC 16" factory alloy wheels. My question is will they bolt on to the 2009, which came with 17" whls and a 16" spare, or do I have to buy new winter 17" whls and tread? Bolt 'em on!!! oliver454 10-16-2009, 11:47 AM They are on and while they are a little snug (to be expected going from 17" to 16") they do clear brake hardware. I can see were debris/snow/mud may be an issue and I'll likely search out another set of 17" wheels for the snows. :) dbooth 10-17-2009, 10:36 AM The '03 16" wheels (PYO's) are still an option for the '09 trucks.
