Hey guys,

I'm ready to buy some 265's for my truck, I'll be going with the LTX M/S 2's with Fred's spacers so I'm pretty amped to make this thing look like a real truck should lol

However, I'm not sure if I want white lettering or not. I saw a white GMC with white lettering on some duelers and it looked pretty good but that was about 2 years ago and haven't seen one like that since!

If you guys have pics of your white duallys with white lettering that would be very helpful!

Thanks!
-Ryan

White letters on the outside are not cool- Don't even think about it!

Fred's spacers are the best!

Haha my suburban had them on it when I bought it, and it still does. That looks okay with them but I'm def worried about it on my truck haha

Thanks for the input though, don't want to produce a stupid looking truck that's for sure!

My 69 Firebird had the white letters out- That was cool when I was in high school- late 80's.

White letters is like white walls- There was a time but that time is long gone:)

I disagree! I run BFG A/Ts on ALL my SRW trucks, and ALWAYS white letters out. If I had the option I wouldn't hesitate. White letters are a good thing. Plus it always cool to clean your truck, then hit the tires with spray nine. A little scrub and those letters are PURE white again.

White letters on a white truck looks great.

And that rusty old dually is a dream project. Just cause its old doesn't mean its a bad thing.

I'll respectfully disagree:rolleyes: Just because many are going for this blacked out look doesn't mean it's the only way. I still like my white letters:D

I'll def be whoring them out!! I waited too long to paint all of my wheel I think though, calling for snow here Friday. I 4 faces of the wheels painted now but not sure I want to bother with doing them in the cold even though they are de-mounted lol

That white truck with the white doesn't look bad at all, that's what makes me second guess things!

Black out.....but thats just what i do. i just put 285/75s all around my 03 dually with freds 2in spacers, it had 215s before, talk about a different looking truck now.

the first one is with the old tires and the second is with new tires, both black out, dirty pictures but ya get the drift

Well it's begun

I think I'm going to black out the wheel wells weather permitting, always a nice Spring project to do when it's rotation time.

I decided to go all black on the tires. I do have a random question though, before I replace the stock spare tire, will the 265 fit fine under the truck? I plan to rotate it in instead of having a brand new tire there lol

I did get 52k out of the OEM tires though, should have been done with them a year ago for sure!

Diesel Dave, those 285's look wicked! I'd go that big but with the towing and driving I do I think it's just too much for me!

I'd hate to see what Ricers Blow would 'tire edit' onto all my cars seeing as they aren't a Chevy :p:

The tire choice is good but the lettering costs more, so for me that you be a nooooo.

hey now, dont hate me because i have a real dually :p: haha, jk

to be honest, i've seen the white lettering on a few duallies and srw, and it depends on the truck itself and how it is built. if your truck is white, it would more than likely look good, i just prefer black

That's cool, I'm def gonna go black! I may even leave the chrome rings off and just do the center caps for now, see how I like them and if I want I'll slap them on later.

My price from my tire guy is 1540 for 7 of them, It was 1400 in the spring, oh well!

i just dropped about $300 for my front passenger side tire

i guess thats what happens when you run 22.5's. either way, this is my first dually and i dont like to extra cost for tires :o:

To me for such a massive tire that doesn't seem too bad, what I want is Tiny compared to those haha

I hope I did the right thing with the 265, I was looking at some 285's all night and damn those look good!

I have a white 06' I personally like the white lettering out. Always have. I will do it again given the option. Black out is great for those who like it, but the white lettering just looks nice.

The maximum size tire to fit in the spare tire location will be 33" dia; I have a 285/70/17 in place now for a spare. You may run into issues, if you have or plan to run dual exhaust.
