Im trying to get my truck dynoed and they cant get a signal to the computer. Right now, they are hoooked into the crank angle sensor with no luck. Where do you hook the computer up to? Thanks in advance.

You have to have an Optical pickup to get a signal right from the crank with a reflective piece of tape taped to the harmonic balancer.

Optical pickup only.

You can get the signal without the optical sensor. You just need a low voltage pickup and use an injector signal. Works great and have been doing it for years. The LLY is easy but the LB7 needs alittle work to get at the wires. I use the ones under the intercooler hose on the driverside head rear. If you remove the hose from the turbo they will be right in front of you.

For the life of me I cannot understand why the dyno software doesn't allow you to plug in the tire size and gearing to calculate torque. How much simpler could it be? Save dyno operators a lot of time fussing with the tach lead.

Isn't that what they did at the K&S dyno day?
