The trip odometer has finally broke some what after 212,000 plus miles. Sure am going to miss it;). it seems to stop for a little while when the 9 come around. (19 miles stopes, 29 miles stpos, etc...) It's not that big of a deal to me, but it is nice to have on long trips, or figuring MPG. Has anyone ever had to fix this before, and if so how hard? Had a 85 K-5 Blazer and the mian odometer broke once but all i had to do was replace the cable. Don't if this is the same or not. Thanks for the help.

Mine broke after 315,000. I have no idea how to fix it, yet.

well here's the update, i can't find a way to get to just the trip odometer with out pulling the whole panel (call me lazy). So i called my buddy in the parts dept at the dealer. He told me the only way to fix it is to replace the the whole Censored cluster panel! this would run around $200 to $250 for a new on, it's a seal unit at least on mine. o'well guess i'm not fixing it any time soon.

Once you take out the screws holding in the cluster, it pulls right out (plug and play). Mine broke on my 90 and I bought a 94 (gasser) panel for ~75-100. Found out that it wouldn't work in my 90. I pretty much mutilated the trip (stole the resetter and the little plastic gear to fix my odometer when it broke). If you dig into it and find out something other than what was listed above, I will check the unit and see if I have it and send it your way. It is really easy to take apart BTW if you have a Torx head drivers. PM me if I can help.

My trip odometer is broke and stops on the 9's. I miss that gadget badly!! Are there any updates about how to repair or replace it? Or does the whole cluster panel have to be replaced as suggested in an earlier post.-:t

...So i called my buddy in the parts dept at the dealer. ...

That's your first mistake.

You should have been talking to a USED CAR DEALER!

They can tell you dozens of ways to to break, fix, reset, rollback, or alter odom's and trip odom's.

Whole clusters are not that bad out of a salvage yard. You can replace the old trip and odometer with your old ones once you tear it apart. I don't have parts for a 95. But you should be able to find a cluster if you miss it that bad.
