: Aluminum Driveshafts, which trucks after 01 got them? Crayz 05-25-2005, 11:50 AM I was just looking around under my truck to get some info for new u joints and saw my driveshaft is rusted. What gives? I thought from what I have been reading on here that gm went to an aluminum 1 piece driveshaft on all the dmax's after 01. Maybe I am on crack, but thats what I thought; so I was a little surprised to see mine was all rusty. Is this going to affect what u joints will fit my truck? The CC LB trucks were too long for a one piece and all the other trucks have steel as well. They should be able to get you the right u-joints for your model/year.
