Why dont they make a body lift for my 2002 GMC Crew 4x4 Diesel? :confused:

I think it has something to do with the front bumper clearing the frame. Some guys have bought a gas truck body lift and made it work, or made their own. If you can do a litle fabrication you can make it work I am sure.

They dont sell them to diesel owners for cooling reasons. I have had one on my one ton for over 2 years now. I had to tell them I had a 3/4 ton with a 350 engine. Worked like a charm. If you do it, just watch your gauges very closely and make sure everything is kosher.

I'm sorry but you are wrong...it may look like it has a body lift from the factory, but essentially its just a taller frame. You can buy the kit for the gas trucks from performance accessories..bolts right up.

I have one on mine.. You can see it in the for sale items.. It's a 2003 duramax.. It takes some time to do, and you do have to do some fabrication, though the finished product is a lifted truck that still has it's factory warranty.. Just raise the body a little at a time so you can adjust all lines and hoses as you go.. Once it's up and on the blocks, you have to make a spacer to hold the upper and lower halfs of the fan shroud together.. Good luck..

Performance accessories makes one for the 03-up hd diesels, but not the older trucks. The reason I heard was the front bumper clears the frame different. You can adapt one to work if you want to fabricate a little anyway..

Check the new products and there is a picture of a duramax truck with one. It looks pretty decent really, no more frame showing with nerf bars than an OBS truck...
