Hey guys... I've been asked to attend SEMA to represent all of AutoForum's diesel enthusiast websites. I will be flying out to Las Vegas to attend SEMA, courtesy of Optima - the battery company - for the first week of November. Specifically, I will be spending my time in their Trucks, SUV's, and Offroad/PowerSports area.

Basically, Optima wants to start establishing relationships with leaders and influencers in the online community for all the auto enthusiast segments for their product. They want to learn what they can do, from a product improvement or education standpoint, to specifically address the concerns and needs of the low-rider guy, the hot rodder, the drag racer, the diesel guy, or the car audio guy.

They’re going to sponsor several bloggers, forum leaders, podcast/vloggers, etc. to attend the show. There will be a couple of scheduled roundtable discussions with Optima management. They're wanting me to cover the show / provide some content for Optima to put on their website and ours.

There’s also going to be an invite to the Optima Ultimate Streetcar Invitational, which is a by-invitation-only event on Saturday.

I am excited about going to SEMA - I've never been - and I'm excited to be representing our site and AutoForums at SEMA. This should be a lot of fun...

This new forum is where I'm planning to report on what I see, what happens, etc. However, this is intended to be a collaborative effort; as such, I want to hear what you want me to check out, what questions you have, etc. I will be posting a comprehensive list of exhibitors... so you can tell me what you're interested in.
