monroe used to make overload shocks. (had a spring around the shock). My question is...... does anyone out there know if anyone makes these still. I had them on a '90 3/4 chevy pickup and really liked them. Thanks in advance...

Maybe instead of overload I should have said "Coil over" ? One other question: Is it possible to get just the tubular "A" arms without buying a lift kit ? thanks guys,
Billy

Finally found some "coil over" shocks. Gabriel makes 'em for those that might be interested. I am waiting to see if bilstien makes 'em :badidea: . Thank you for the time and patients  , Billy

Fox, King, and Bilstein make coil-over shocks. We use them in the sandrails industry. Out of the 3; Bilstein cheapest, King most expensive. I use Fox and King for my applications. None of them are inexpensive.... We don't use them for overload suspension, but as THE suspension...
Oh and I understand that Fab-tech is making their own now ($$$). Also I have seen many off brand coilovers out there. Check out e-bay.

Akdually,
If you need more load capacity add a leaf or two or go with air bags. Then install a quality shock of your choice.
I have found the "Shock" part of the cheap coil over or "load Leveler's" to not have enough damping. If you look at them they have a really small shock body.
Address each problem seperately, and I think you will be alot happier with the results.
