: Xcelerator & Juice Stack?
Silverado Man 05-25-2005, 05:26 AM Well, I have finally took the plunge to stack and I have some installation questions for those who are already doing it.
Do I have to unplug the Juice module before installing the Xcelerator program or can I just set the Attitude to stock?
Is anyone stacking these two now?
I am going to run the 230hp Xcelerator with the Regular Juice. I din't jump to Hot programs or run just Hot Xcelerator because I had Juice already and all techs I spoke to said I would see more pros than cons running both.
Mike
You have rattle stacking the hot and edge but they gave me the best times at the track, i have not tried the race tune yet.Joe at ppe will pull all the timing out of the race version for stacking if you request.
gmccall 05-25-2005, 01:38 PM I do not unplug Juice when changing Quad. Don't know about XCell.
As for stacking, I could not move Edge/Attitude (hot) above 2 while running Quad on 215. ) (all before the lift pump). Best ET times are with Quad on 215 and Juice on 2.
PEANUTGRWR 05-25-2005, 10:55 PM I Didnt See Any Gain When Stacking The Ppe With Hot Oj. No Need To Unplug The Juice
When Uploading The Ppe. :)
Silverado Man 05-26-2005, 05:10 AM You say you don't need to unplug the juice, but do you have to set the attitude back to stock program?
Nut,
NO gains as far as what? What did you have before?
Mike
gmccall 05-26-2005, 08:10 AM FYI
I do not touch Attitude when I change Quad.
PEANUTGRWR 05-26-2005, 09:22 AM No Gains Period. My Et's Were A Bit Slower But Not Much Running With The Juice. The Only Thing I Felt I Gained Was A Hellva Lot Of Rattle
Silverado Man 05-26-2005, 05:23 PM Well Peanut,
I will keep you posted. Got the Xcelerator today and will be plugging in tonight.
PEANUTGRWR 05-26-2005, 10:43 PM I See Your Running An 01, Youll Have To Put In A Co-pilot From Ats To Defeat The Mph Limiter.
Silverado Man 05-26-2005, 10:52 PM What is the 01 top speed?
PEANUTGRWR 05-26-2005, 10:55 PM I Think Its 96 Or 98 Mph. Limiter Cannt Be Removed Without A Co-pilot Or A Westers Reflash :)
Silverado Man 05-26-2005, 11:00 PM I have been over 100 mph with the juice/attitude and my tranny upgrade with no problem.
Why?
Diesel Tech 05-26-2005, 11:01 PM What is the 01 top speed?
The factory limiter is 98 mph and can be eliminated with a TTS reprogram. We have always had the speed limiter set to 125 with our programs but can set it to your liking.
PEANUTGRWR 05-26-2005, 11:05 PM The factory limiter is 98 mph and can be eliminated with a TTS reprogram. We have always had the speed limiter set to 125 with our programs but can set it to your liking.
THERES A WAY AROUND THE LIMITER WITH OUT GETTING A REFLASH  AND IN THE END YOULL BE ABLE TO RECOUP SOME OF YOUR MONEY :)
hdmax 05-27-2005, 08:54 AM What is the 01 top speed?
Right at about 96 mph, give or take a couple
Silverado Man 05-27-2005, 04:43 PM Well, the first test run was a success, although Peanut was right on the rattle. I found out by increasing the Juice the rattle would quiet down. I have not done a lot of full throttle runs, but it is definetly strong. So far Xcelerator at Race Extreme (231hp) and Juice at level 4.
For those stacking, can you let me know what the best trans setting is for the Attitude. It seems to be a little erratic during wide open with no defuel now.
PEANUTGRWR 05-27-2005, 11:46 PM I Can Run My Juice On Level 4x5 And Have No Bursting Problems. The Rattle Was Loud No Matter Which Setting Its On. Get To The Track And Lets See Some Times :)
Silverado Man 05-28-2005, 06:41 AM Peanut,
What did you have the transmission set at on the Attitude?
Do you have the rattle with the Hot Xcelerator? My rattle is with just the Xcelerator program.
Mike
PEANUTGRWR 05-28-2005, 10:30 AM No Defueled Shifts At All On The *** Setting. Theres Some Rattle With The Xcelerator Alone But Nothing Like Stacking With The Juice, For Me Anyway.
Silverado Man 05-28-2005, 10:35 AM Thanks for the reply.
Mine seems to quiet down when juice is increased. Go figure. It sure tells a lot about the difference between trucks.
tranytom 05-28-2005, 01:22 PM Nick hit the limiter at 101 MPH on 33" tires ):h & are trying the "Cut the yellow wire no.27 on the TCM " system today. This should inhibit TCM from sending the ECM speed signail for the speed limiter. Bad thing is no ABS,speedo or cruise. But when pluged back in on Nick's 2001 all seems to reset after one key cycle. Will post after the trip to the track today.:ro) :ro) :ro)
