Alrighty,

last night I was driving on the highway, a good amount of snow fell so i pressed the 4x4 button, then I heard a nice clunk when it engaged. I put it back in 2x4 and waited for the hubs to disengage, then put it back in 4x4 and the same clunk happened, a little less intense, but it was still noticeable. In the conditions i was in i just left it, thinking the fluids would flow and everything would get warmed up. THEN I noticed under any acceleration there was a vibration, let off the pedal, repeat, still a vibration. Oh well, I left it, got through the snow, put it in 2x4, pulled into the parking lot, and the front passenger wheel felt "sticky" and it hopped, so i stopped, looked at everything, nothing out of the normal, pulled away and no hopping.

Whats going on?! its driving me nuts.

The feedback is much appreciated.

One place to start to look at could be U-Joints. At least that would cause a clunk in the driveline but if they were that loose you would probably notice other symptoms aswell. No doubt somebody more knowledgable will chime in soon.
