Okay, so I started working on my '89 K3500 dually's brakes, and decided that I didn't want to be one of those forum members that soak up good info (like changing full floating rear drum brakes) and never contribute anything.

I didn't get pics of it together, but I'll take pics after it's back together but wanted to post what I have.

here is a shot with the dually drum removed very dirty in there

here is a shot of the auto slack adjuster... which is completely frozen up and very dirty

here is a shot of the brake cylinder

I'm gonna run for parts then will post more pics later.

okay, in pic 1, the pieces that have to come out before the drum slides off (order in that pic is right to left), then the 2nd pic is the drum assembly after I cleaned it up, installed new cylinder and new self adjuster mechanism.
